CRUCKTON PLOUGHING SOCIETY MEMBERS ACHIEVEMENTS
J.B.(Sonny)Smith
Represented Cruckton at the British National Ploughing Championships 25 times. Winner of the National Reversible Ploughing Championships 10 Times. Qualified to represent Cruckton & The British Isles at the 1972 World Ploughing Contest held in the USA He also represented Cruckton & England at the European Championships in England in 1984 & Germany in 1988. He won the Championship on both occasions.
Frank H.Millington
Represented Cruckton at the British National Ploughing Championships on many occasions. Qualified to represent England three times. 1971 England, 1979 Northern Ireland, 1983 Zimbabwe.
Tom Evans
Horse ploughman for Cruckton. He represented Cruckton at the British National Horse Ploughing Championships and winner at many of the matches.
Mike Holloway
In 1978 & 1981 was Y.F.C. Champion at the British National Championships. 1988 British Runner Up, 1989 Represented England in the World contest held in Norway, 1995 British National Champion, and 1996 Ploughed for England in the Republic of Ireland.
Ron Smith
Ploughed many times at the National Championships & represented England in 1982 at the World Ploughing Contest held in Australia.
