Cultivating Tradition & Technology

‘Never enjoyed a Match so much’ ‘Excellent’ ‘Great to be among friends’ ‘Beautiful food’ ’Proud to be part of the day’   ’A well run and enjoyable Match’ ‘Everyone makes you feel so welcome’ ‘Enjoyed by all generations’these are just some of the compliments we received after the 2007 Match and they are something about which we should all be proud because you are all part of that special atmosphere at our Ploughing Match. Our hosts Bill and Phillip Powell were amazing – so hospitable and relaxed about all the comings and goings nothing was too much trouble for them. What a beautiful part of the world, and a great site the layout was fantastic and weren’t we lucky with the weather!!  The country people enjoyed a great day out as so many events were cancelled or postponed because of the Foot and Mouth restrictions
