2009 MATCH REPORT
CRUCKTON PLOUGHING ‘Never enjoyed a Match so much’ ‘Excellent’ ‘Great to be among friends’ ‘Great food’ ’Proud to be part of the day’ ’A well run and enjoyable Match’ ‘Everyone makes you feel so welcome’ ‘Enjoyed by all generations’ ‘What a fantastic day! Great food. These are just some of the compliments we received after the 2009 Match and they are something about which we should all be proud because you are all part of that special atmosphere at our Ploughing Match. Our hosts Mr R Wilde & Sons and Mark Pugh were so hospitable and relaxed about all the comings and goings nothing was too much trouble for them. What a beautiful part of the world, the views were fantastic and again we were very lucky with the weather. I also think we to give a special mention to Marie Savage who won the beginners class beating the boys, she also took home a further two cups for ploughing with a Dowdeswell plough and the best under 21 year old.
